Capitalism and Marxism

If capitalism is so bad, why has it given so much freedom, opportunity, and success to the people under the system? Marxists say that capitalists have achieved their success on the backs of the masses. Is that really true? Never before in the history of the world have the masses living in capitalistic societies been able to achieve so much and live in relative security, comfort, and well being. I believe that capitalism is the economic engine that supports freedom. Marxists are the ones who actually rise to their power on the backs of the masses. Every Marxist regime has resulted in failure, poverty, and even death for major portions of their populations. The society supported by capitalism has brought more justice to its people than all of the Marxists regimes combined. Except for the minor corruptions caused by the people in a capitalistic society, capitalism is the best economic engine given to man. Marxism is just the opposite. It is a scourge upon the backs of mankind.

You have to stop watching that crazy Glenn Beck. You think we're headed for Marxism, huh? Well check out this new report from the conservative Heritage Foundation and The Wall Street Journal that rates the United States 8th on their list of economic freedom. That doesn't fit in very well with your communist paranoia now does it?

Redistribution of wealth, government take over of businesses and corporations, totalatarianism, unions whose leaders have political power, political leaders who do what they want regardless of what the people want - those are all signs of Marxism. When Obama was elected my comment was "I think it is wonderful that we have the first black president. It is too bad he is a Marxist." That was before I even had access to Fox News and could watch his program and his radio program was on at night. By the way, do you ever listen to Beck or watch him, or do you, like most who criticize him just take the liberal talking points against him, or just guess at what he is saying. And yes, the United States is more socialist than I would like and is becoming more so every day as progressives have taken a small bite at a time to bring us to this point, but that doesn't make it good for America. Yes, I think we are headed for Marxism and perhaps faster than we can even anticipate. I don't think America has time to go to full fledged communism, but Marxism, yes.

By the way, I think Beck has it mostly right, except that I don't think the answer is just being good people and knowing who we are. God has His program and He will fulfill His plan. It will be tough times for true Christian believers as they are targeted and persecuted, probably by liberal church people. The church has always gotten stronger through persecution, however.
