The Promised Land

My daughter, a PHD candidate in political science bristles at the idea of America being the Promised Land. Is it? She, and many on the left think America is the bad guy in the world. I think it is a promised land given by God for the last 200 years as a place where people can worship Him freely. To not worship Him as some may choose is a by-product of the freedom of choice granted to us by our Creator. To force someone to worship in a prescribed manner is the result of a state sponsored church, which is what Jefferson meant when he wrote about a wall separating church and state, not that the state was secular and could not be sponsored by churches, is for men to take away the God-given freedom of choice. To take away symbols of our faith is also denying freedom of choice as well as freedom of speech. Why would I say the United States of America is the Promised Land? Just look at the people who risk everything to get here. Look at the opportunity for prosperity for everyone who is willing to work hard for it. Look at the relative safety of this nation. Compare those things with any other nation in the world and the USA becomes a promised land. When the nation honors God, we prosper. When we deny God, our prosperity wanes. Our freedoms are being eroded by those who hate America and want to conform it to their own image. Those who love God and the land He has provided are the ones who are preserving our freedoms. Freedom has been provided for all people in America by men who were dedicated to God in founding our nation. It is amazing that the Promised Land even provides freedom for those who don’t believe there is a God, by the very God in whom they refuse to believe. That is a Promised Land!

Capitalism and Marxism

If capitalism is so bad, why has it given so much freedom, opportunity, and success to the people under the system? Marxists say that capitalists have achieved their success on the backs of the masses. Is that really true? Never before in the history of the world have the masses living in capitalistic societies been able to achieve so much and live in relative security, comfort, and well being. I believe that capitalism is the economic engine that supports freedom. Marxists are the ones who actually rise to their power on the backs of the masses. Every Marxist regime has resulted in failure, poverty, and even death for major portions of their populations. The society supported by capitalism has brought more justice to its people than all of the Marxists regimes combined. Except for the minor corruptions caused by the people in a capitalistic society, capitalism is the best economic engine given to man. Marxism is just the opposite. It is a scourge upon the backs of mankind.

Marxism and Christians

The current leaders of our government, religion, and society are leading us ever closer to a Marxist environment. Why is that a problem? Can Christians survive with their faith intact in such an environment? Will we come out of it?
Marxism is a problem, not because of its political implications, though that is troublesome especially for Christians who have lived their entire lives in the freedom of the United States. It is troublesome because to implement Marxism requires a ruling class that is totalitarian. For that class to control the masses under it there must be a demand for them to agree with the ruling class and its dictates and to think only as they are told to think. Biblical Christianity, as opposed to liberal so-called Christianity and other religions demand that believers follow the direction, mandates, laws, and leading of their King who is Jesus Christ. His mandates are to pray for governments and their leaders, and to live at peace wherever possible, but not to follow them, especially when they demand no worship or belief in God who is their King. Liberal Christians have no problem with Marxism, and many adhere to its tenets, because they merely modify their acceptance of the Bible as authoritative and allow their faith in God to become subordinate to the dictates of the ruling taskmasters.
Christians can survive and even thrive under oppressive regimes. Christians have grown, flourished and thrived under oppression as it forces them to look to God for their very survival. Chinese Christians living in Communist China have been know to say that they have the perfect balance of persecution and worship. Oppression keeps them focused toward God and they find opportunities to worship and obey God. The seedbeds of Christian revival have always been poverty and persecution, though few Americans would seek that for themselves just so they can be close to God.
Will we come out of this drive toward Marxism. As Americans I believe the answer is, “No.” As Bible believing Christians, the answer is a definite, “Yes!” We will go through many difficult times. Perhaps we will be raptured out of this world before it gets too bad, but perhaps not. The jury is still out in that one. Perhaps some of us will experience death. But one thing we can be confident in is that our King, Jesus Christ will be the Victor, and He has promised that we will reign with Him. We probably will not experience a Marxist utopia or a restoration to the Constitution and free market liberty. We will, however, experience a Kingdom with a perfect King who will rule in justice and truth and with an iron rod.

March 21, 2010 is a day that will live in infamy. America was attacked, not by foreign powers, but by power hungry politicians in Washington D.C. Congress voted on a bill that is supposedly about health care. It is not. It is about control. Over seventy percent of the American people do not want this bill and the control it represents. America has taken one giant step toward tyranny.
Radical liberal progressive politicians are leading our nation down a path that has proven to be disastrous every time and place it has been tried. A leader of the Soviet Union pounded his shoe on the desk at the U.N. and said, “We will bury you.” He could not defeat America from outside, but leftist politicians are defeating her now from within.
Several years ago the chairman of the democrat party in Yakima vehemently denied the backroom modes of operation of democrats. Democrat leaders have proved him wrong with their secrecy, underhanded tactics, and kickbacks to party members for their votes. Honest democrats should hang their heads in shame at the action of their leaders. God bless America? No, no, no! God help America. We need Him now more than ever.
The leftist politicians are mere dupes of the author of chaos, the father of lies, the master of deceit. They are not smart enough to inflice this infamy upon the nation that God gave to the world, established on principles He has laid down from the beginning. They are merely doing the bidding of the evil one. Stay tuned. We will see more of him. The Bible says he is like a roaring lion going to and fro to see whom he may destroy - even more so as his time draws near.

Mastermind

The decline we are witnessing in human civilization is not the work of any one human individual, group of individuals, or even a whole party of individuals working in concert. Human beings are just not smart enough to be making this happen, but they are naïve enough to be letting it happen. Some are totally in bed with the one who is masterminding the decline of human civilization being willingly complicit, however. History has proven that man is not capable of ruling even himself, much less orchestrate a whole-world movement.
Movements such as this sinister move on many fronts toward self destruction are headed by a being much superior and much more evil than most would choose to believe. In fact, most want to shut him out of their thinking and refuse to believe he even exists, which is exactly what he would like us all to do. He is bent on the destruction of mankind. He wants to be God, but is limited in his abilities to be all knowing and all powerful. He loves to work from the shadows even though he is the ultimate egotist and narcissist, in fact he works to get his followers to even disavow that he exists and loves it when they convince the naïve that he is merely a figment of their imagination or a myth from an earlier time when men were not so sophisticated and intelligent as they have now evolved to be. They are naïve to the fact that they have devolved into his abyss of thinking and are just where the mastermind’s sinister plan has projected them. Now these followers are bent on the same destruction of themselves and others as he is.
This sinister mastermind transcends the physical and no human being is his match. Besides, he has an army of individuals that are almost as powerful as he is, though not quite. They have infiltrated the human race and seek to direct its paths, and are quite successful. They have been characterized as having lying as their native language and must be controlled by absolute authority, the kind that corrupts. The systems of this world are of this mastermind’s design. They deteriorate the family, create chaos, pit humans against each other, and seek moral decay and debauchery. He sets up immoral causes which cause conflict with other moral causes in his attempt to pit daughter against father, mother against son, turning the hearts of the children away from the hearts of the fathers, causing economic, political, and social anarchy in the attempt to get people to kill each other. Governments cannot stop him, in fact most are under his control. He is patiently eroding good and turning it to corruption. He is called the prince of this world.

The Real Threat

Global warming threatening to devastate the globe, political moves toward socialism and even Marxism, government spending out of control all seem to threaten our way of life. These are merely inconveniences compared to the corrosive effects of sin. What was at one time recognized as sin are denied to be so by leaders and the media. Perversion is hailed as acceptable. Greed and corruption are personified in the halls of government. Consumerism is touted as the answer. Our children are taught lies in the mandatory public education system and universities as the academics and religious leaders hail them as truth. The media plays their banal songs as America burns, choosing to write about cell phones in toilets and Tiger Woods moments while suppressing discussions of the sin that so easily besets us. They make a mockery of government officials who don’t meet their standards of messiahship while ignoring the very Messiah who has the answers, making them complicit with the sin being perpetrated as they turn a blind eye. The planet is actually cooling, but the sin problem that presents the overwhelmingly larger consequences, continues to grow. Perhaps it is time to realize the slippery slope we are on.

From Here to Eternity

I do not believe that there will be a resurgence of capitalism. I do not believe there will be a moral renaissance, at least in the short term. I do not believe there will be an age of enlightenment as the New Age philosophy describes. I believe we have ten to fifteen years before the return of Christ and the establishing of His government upon the earth.
I believe that with the election of Obama as President of the United States we crossed a line on an already downward slippery slope for many reasons. If McCain had been elected, the trip down the slippery slope may have been slowed although only slightly. But we have crossed the line of no return.
Here is my prediction:
In 2010 the conservatives will show resurgence in the political climate, but only enough to scare the liberals now controlling the government and influencing society. Rather than risk losing power, those in power will take drastic steps to radically change the government so they can continue to control and influence society. There will be no future Presidential election and the radical change in government will establish a dictator, a king of the United States of America. This king will lead our nation into a world government, or at least a government that rules over a greater portion of the world, such as Europe and like cultures, the Western World. This will lead to some turmoil from which a leader will emerge who will try to rule the world, and will rule the Western World. There will be a period of time where this leader will lead the Western World to peace, and then it will turn sour and war will ensue. The final war will be Armageddon after which Christ will return and establish His kingdom on earth.
Conservatism, patriotism, capitalism, Marxism, Communism, education, socialism, nor any other human endeavor will allow a person to survive. Those who go along with the radical change in the world will survive for a while. Those who hold fast to Jesus, the Christ and the King of kings will ultimately survive. It will be a choice every person will have to make.
